The Syracuse Safety Stand Down is an opportunity for pilots of all certificate levels to attend a full day of interactive workshops specifically focusing on the habits that produce safe pilots and enjoyable flying. If you only attend one safety event a year, this is the one you don't want to miss!

Featured speakers include Jim Ambrose, FAA Safety Team Representative, David St. George, FAA Safety Team Representative and FAA Pilot Examiner, Shawn Hayes, FAA Inspector ROC FSDO, Pete Griffin, SYR Air Traffic Controller, Dr. Ivan Wolf, local Aeromedical Examiner (AME), and Guido Hassig, FAA Safety Team Manager.

Topics include GPS Navigation, Pilot Deviation Awareness, Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), Medical Update, Runway Safety, Emergency Landings and much more.

The event will feature a FREE "working lunch". WiFi is available and attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops. Event staff will assist with "one-on-one" navigation of the FAASafety.gov web site as well as answering questions and assisting with the online WINGs Pilot Proficiency Training.
