Our common goal, aviation safety, is well served when we are able to combine our resources, talent, and information to target areas of pilot skills or knowledge that accident statistics and causal factors suggest are weak. Together as a Team the Instructors and Designated Pilot Examiners will combine extensive knowledge with sound judgment to provide the most comprehensive pilot training followed by reliable and effective evaluation.

CFI Workshop Module 6; Core Topics 11 & 12 , Takeoff, Landing, Low Altitude Maneuvering and Aircraft Operational Limits will be presented.

CFIs who attend all 8 Workshops and complete all training Modules within a Series are eligible to renew their non-expired flight instructor certificate.

There is no cost for attendance. Please register on-line, there's no obligation and it will allow us to adequately prepare for you.

The facilitator for this event will be FAASTeam Representative Jim Martin.  During his long career in aviation, Jim has amassed 14,500 hours, an ATP certificate and 12 type ratings.  His degrees include Aeronautical, Mechanical and Chemical engineering from RPI.  He retired as an FAA DER Experimental Test Pilot from Cessna Aircraft, Raytheon Aircraft, and Learjet/Bombardier Aircraft Companies.  He retired from the USAF after 21 years as a fighter/test pilot.  Jim also has 4600 hours of Glider experience.  Throughout his career, he has been an active FAA / USAF instructor pilot as well as a safety consultant.
