Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

As you may be aware, the local flight schools and the general aviation community use the “alert” areas in the Everglades extensively.  Some of the schools have developed their own procedures and frequencies for the instructors to use.  The mixture of procedures and the heavy use of these training areas have created the potential for more mid air collisions.

We are asking you to help solve these issues in the local training areas. Accordingly, we are inviting you and your organization to attend a symposium  hosted by the FAA Safety Team (FAAST) at the South Florida Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) Miami Facility third floor conference room (commencing at 8:30 AM).  This symposium is intended to review the problems and recommend procedures to make the aforementioned training areas safer.

Seating will be limited
