Two sessions for the price of one!

First, Susan Parson will present "Cloudy Skies, Clear Judgment". Most pilots understand how to get weather information, but that's only the first step.  The sheer volume of weather data, however, can be a challenge.  This seminar offers a framework for practical weather analysis and weather decision-making, both for the preflight go/no-go decision and the inflight evaluation of whether to continue or divert.  In addition, we will provide tips for developing truly individual personal minimums that can help you operate safely.  Susan is an accomplished aviator, and instructor, and is the Editor of FAA Aviation News.

Next, Tim Metzinger will lead a discussion of winter operations, ranging from preflight actions for the aircraft and the pilot, through winter's effects on performance, winter light or lack thereof, aircraft heating systems, airframe and engine icing, and touching down on contaminated runways.  Tim is a transplanted New Englander, local pilot and aviation educator, and a veteran of winter flying in the Northeast US and Alaska.
