Brief Description:
CFI workshop is the first of 8 CFI quarterly workshops sponsored by the FAA Safety Team to reduce general aviation accidents. CFI workshops will improve CFI/DPE knowledge, skills, & abilities through instruction content, interactive discussion among instructors, examiners, subject matter experts, & FAA personnel. Workshop is 3 hours in length.

From I-70, exit on Horizon Drive, travel north toward the airport. Enter the roundabout at Horizon Drive & H Road, then take the first right turn on to Eagle Way. After exiting the roundabout, take the first left on S. Heritage Ct. The CAF is on the right at the dead end.

FAASTeam CFI workshops are planned in a 2 year cycle starting in October, 2008. There are 8 workshops with the subject changing quarterly. After completion of the workshop cycle (1-8) the workshop cycle will repeat beginning with workshop 1.

You may begin any quarter at any workshop. A person who attends workshops # 1 thru # 8 in any order & completes all 8 core topics will be considered to have completed a workshop cycle.

Completion of all 8 workshops over the 2 year cycle qualifies for renewal of a non-expired Flight Instructor Certificate.

Core Topics - First Quarter Workshop #1 - The FAA Safety Team & The Pilot proficiency Wings Program.

Additional Topics - Review of Accidents, Incidents,  & Deviations in the SLC FSDO Area. Deanna Strand, Pilot examiner will discuss check ride issues.
