Brief Description:
Aviation terminology is characterized by a sometimes overwhelming abundance of acronyms and abbreviations. Many flight students find deciphering this strange language to be more challenging than learning to manipulate the controls. In this FAA Safety Team WINGS webinar, longtime flight instructor Prof. H. Paul Shuch tries to make some sense of the alphabet soup. Paul will discuss terminology for weather, airspace, meteorological conditions, regulations, etc. This will be a great overview for student pilots and a reminder for existing pilots. You will be a safer pilot having a better understanding of these common but yet widely used terminologies.
