This training is being offered nationally for all levels of first responders including Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), pilots and bystanders. The webinar will discuss safety while operating around accident aircraft. Become familiar with all aircraft types, the hazards they present and the unique injuries sustained by pilots. This class fills up fast and is highly sought after across the country annually. Qualifies for WINGS Credit and Continuing Education Units (CEU's).

 This offering is the 2025 newly updated course full of new cases and is a well-rounded training program that will be able to offer training credits for all participants based on their specialty.  Completion certificates will be issued, which can be submitted during renewal for your certificate or training credits. 

The course is 4 hours with built in breaks. You must attend the entire event for credit.

All participants are welcome including Police, Fire, EMS (all levels) and Pilots.  Medical/Fire CEU credits of 4 OEMS (Office of Emergency Medical Services) credit hours can apply and FAA WINGS Credit. 

The presentation offered by the FAA FAASTeam and features a key speaker from the Los Angeles County Fire Department Firefighter/Helicopter Pilot. The course includes a wide variety of knowledge on aviation emergencies for first responders.  This will include suggestions on securing a scene, scene safety AND preservation and the unique hazards that come with aviation accidents.  Medical topics will include considerations for stabilizing, extricating, and handling the occupants.  We will learn about aircraft familiarization and unique cases such as hot air balloons, sky dive injuries, military aircraft and rotorcraft.  Understanding aircraft estabilization, egress procedures and aircraft entry procedures are a perfect lesson for all specialties to indulge in.  This is a fast paced, multi-faceted training complete with live presenters, detailed slides and video based training – created right from local operators at our various airports. Lead instructors from the industry will be presenting the material. 

After completing this course, all participants will be eligible for the Phase II, which will be a hands-on, live portion at a local airport. We will collaborate with local pilots, aircraft operators and airport managers to make these sessions happen alongside an in-person training to touch, feel and experience egress and shut down procedures in a variety of aircraft.
