Brief Description:

Jessica Meiris is coming to us from the mountain flying helicopter community to present on the factors that go into preparing and flying in this challenging environment. The hazards and challenges that mountain flying present to pilots are relevant to both airplanes and helicopters and will be discussed as such. In addition cold weather considerations will be touched on as the geographical and environmental challenges of this austere flying often go hand in hand.

Presenter Bio

Jessica Meiris

Helicopter Pilot, CFII, V3 Initiative | Utility Pilot, Pathfinder Aviation

Jessica is a longline utility and air ambulance pilot along with being a CFII based in Colorado. She is a Vertical Aviation International (VAI) Ambassador involved in several helicopter safety organizations, including the US Helicopter Safety Team. Jessica brings a unique perspective, having followed a non-traditional path through flight school and early time building, including operating a small business. She is committed to transforming how we train pilots and improving our approach to safety with a focus on human factors.
