Federal Aviation Regulations are very clear as to the training, currency, equipment, inspections, and clearances required for flight into instrument meteorological conditions. Still, far too often, pilots stumble into IMC without meeting those requirements. In this FAA Safety Team WINGS webinar, Prof. H. Paul Shuch will review the pertinent Regulations, explore the reasons for these deviations, and discuss lifesaving training and techniques to follow if you should ever find yourself flying under Visual Flight Rules and going into the clouds.
