Many pilots claim flying very low, water skiing the aircraft wheels on a lake or river or performing low flybys is “perfectly safe and legal” But is it? Every year pilots come to grief during low altitude flight operations. What hazards exist in the low altitude environment. Listen to the speaker, a former A-6 Intruder bombardier navigator, who flew low and fast legally discuss the issues of low altitude flight.
