Brief Description:

Join the Bakersfield Flying Club for a seminar on RISK MANAGEMENT.  In our daily lives, we constantly manage RISK.  As pilots, we are exposed to additional RISK.  In flying, how we manage RISK is critical to FLIGHT SAFETY.  CFI Joe Biviano takes an in depth look at RISK and offers techniques and strategies for pilots of all experience levels to better manage RISK during the planning and execution of each flight.

Joe Biviano has ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI and COM Glider ratings.  He has 8600 total hrs., 3500 as a CFI.  He's an A&P Mechanic, FAAST Team Representative and recipient of the Wright Brothers Award for 56 years of accident free flying.  As a young man, he received a Civil Air Patrol Private Pilot Scholarship.  Then, in 1973, Joe joined the U.S. Navy and flew A-4 Skyhawks as an A-4 pilot instructor during deployments to the Western Pacific.  A graduate of the U.S. Navy's School of Aviation Safety and USC's Aircraft Accident Investigation School, Joe spent 33 years with Lockheed as a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer, Structural Test Engineer, Flight Test Engineer and 10 years as Engineering Test Pilot.  Joe's flown on 3 First Flight programs.  A previous owner of 10 aircraft, he currently owns a PA28-140, Thorp T-18, and is currently trying to build a RV-6.  Joe earned a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and a MS in Flight Safety.
