Brief Description:
Fly-in, Aviation Expo and Aviation Safety Conference / Runway Safety Forum to take place at the Niagara Falls Airport in Niagara Falls, NY. Event will begin with a cookout at Tech Aviation and feature a Runway Safety presentation by the Eastern Region Office of Runway Safety in the airport terminal building. In addition, a group consisting of airport users will participate in a forum to discuss runway safety issues at Niagara Falls.

From I-90 (NYS Thruway), take I-190 North to Niagara Falls Blvd, go East to the Niagara Falls Terminal Building. There is parking available in front of the Terminal Building and any over-flow can be directed to Calspan parking lot.

Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):
Fly-in, Expo and Aviation Safety Conference / Runway Safety Forum to take place at the Niagara Falls Airport in Niagara Falls, NY. Event will begin with a cookout at 5:00 pm sponsored by Tech Aviation and BRP Aviation. Visitors are welcome to view the aircraft on static display, including some aerobatic and rare aircraft as well as those of the US Air Force 107th Air Refueling Wing (KC 135) and the 914th Airlift Wing.  In fact, the Air Force is planning to complete airdrop training as well as fly tactical approaches and assault landings. Calspan is expected to offer their Convair aircraft for static display. Following the cookout, the aviation safety conference will commence in the adjacent airport terminal building. 

5:00 PM - Tech Aviation & BRP Aviation cookout and multiple aircraft on static display.

6:45 PM - Conference begins with introductions and an award presentation from the FAA Safety Team.

7:00 PM - Runway Safety Presentation by Sandy McClure of the FAA's Eastern Region Office of Runway Safety. Runway Safety continues to be a very important emphasis area for the FAA. Sandy will provide us with the latest update on Runway Safety, both nationally and on the local level. She will share some "best practices" that will help us reduce our risk when operating on and near the runway environment.

8:00PM - Q&A for the Safety Panel on runway safety issues specific to Niagara Falls (Sandy McClure/FAA Eastern Region, representatives from the 914th & 107th, Niagara Falls Tower, Buffalo Tower, and FAA Safety Team)

Following the Q&A, door prizes will be awarded and the conference will close.

You can qualify for your WINGS by bringing your completed logbook or completed Pilot Proficiency Award Record (WINGS Card) showing three hours of dual in the last twelve months. For more info on WINGs, visit the website at faasafety.gov
