Speaker(s):
Robert Jex
Brief Description:

Energy Management (EM) is now part of the flight training and testing environment, and appears in multiple tasks in the FAA's Airmen Certification Standards (ACS).  Effective use of EM will prevent many accidents and save lives.  Beyond the introductory concepts of EM, which is found in Chapter 4 of the FAA's Airplane Flying Handbook, there is a need to put EM concepts into practice.  This FREE seminar will introduce some of the ways that EM can be applied in real-world flight planning and training to make flight operations safer and more consistent.  Primary audience is students enrolled in the Embry-Riddle Energy Management course, but all others may attend with permission of the course instructor due to limited seating.
