San Carlos Airport Pilot/Controller Forum
Topic:
San Carlos Flight Center Invites You to Meet the New KSQL Tower Management Team
Date and Time:
Wednesday, June 11, 2025, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
KSQL Air Traffic Manager
Brief Description:

We’re thrilled to welcome the new Tower Managers at San Carlos Tower (KSQL), who have done an outstanding job navigating recent transitions. Their leadership has helped reestablish positive control at the airport, and we’re excited to offer the flying community an opportunity to connect with them in person.

While Class D airports may sometimes be overlooked, those who fly at or control traffic at San Carlos know just how active and complex this airspace can be. With thousands of operations supporting training and general aviation, KSQL remains one of the busiest non-commercial airports in the region.

Join us for an open conversation focused on enhancing flight safety and communication between pilots and controllers. Topics will include:

  • What should pilots better understand about controller workload and managing traffic flow?

  • What should controllers consider about how their instructions impact pilot workload and flight training?
