The seminar will be led by local CFI, Steve Bateman, who recently retired from AOPA as Director of the Flying Clubs Initiaive—Steve literally wrote the book on starting and running safe, efficient and effective flying clubs.

We will cover:

  • Establishing a club culture based on safety and mutual responsibility
  • Types of non-profit flying clubs
  • Club structure
  • Keeping the FAA and IRS happy
  • Choosing and financing club aircraft
  • The money—what it will cost
  • Next steps

Location:  The conference room in the Terminal Building, Prineville Airport.

Flying in:

Use a current airport/taxiway diagram and check NOTAMs!

Taxi to the main ramp.   Enter the terminal building.  Conference room is opposite the restrooms.

Please do not block any hangars!

Driving in:

Exit the OR-126 roundabout onto Tom McCall Road, then a quick left onto SW Aviation Blvd.

Drive ahead and then around the right-hand curve to the stop sign.  Turn left and park by the Terminal Building.   Enter the terminal building.  Conference room is opposite the restrooms.
