Speaker Bio:
Kathy Fox chose air traffic control as a career, first with Transport Canada, and then with NAV CANADA where she held a number of senior management positions, including the first female Vice President Operations, from which she retired in 2007. Kathy was subsequently appointed as a Board Member of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) and has served as its Chair since 2014.
Kathy has also been extensively involved in other aviation activities for over 50 years, including sport parachuting and commercial aviation. She holds an airline transport pilot license, multi-IFR, and Instructor Class I ratings and has flown over 5000 hours. Kathy was a Transport Canada approved Pilot Examiner for over 25 years and still flies part-time as an instructor.
