Led by Randy Rowles, an 18-year Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and Master Helicopter CFI in the "how-to" of helicopter instruction, this free workshop will cover three issues important to all Certified Flight Instructors:

How to Teach Maneuvers will focus on the “how to” side of helicopter training. Helicopter instructors with years of experience will share their techniques for teaching maneuvers and risk mitigation.

How to Be an Effective Leader will focus on being a leader (mentor) in the helicopter industry. This discussion will include career transition (becoming a new flight instructor), communications, listening, and other leadership skills.

Instruction Intervention will focus on the role of instructors when action or lack of action by the student requires corrective intervention by the instructor / examiner to maintain safe flight.

Take advantage of learning from a career instructor on the critical safety components of helicopter flight instruction. This program will be valuable to all helicopter flight instructors, pilots, or those in training toward a helicopter certificate or rating.
