Title:
Pilot Proficiency - A Path to Safe Flying
Topic:
Will discuss proficiency training and flying as a means to reduce the number of General Aviation Loss of Control Accidents.
Date and Time:
Wednesday, April 8, 2020, starting at 18:00 Atlantic Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Alan Lord - FAASTeam Lead Representative in San Juan
Brief Description:

We will review the importance of proficiency training and provide a structured approach to organize your proficiency training.  There are many reasons supporting the importance of proficiency training.

  • Loss of Control is the most lethal GA accident precursor.
  • Proficiency Training and Flying can reduce the chances that control will be lost.
  • Proficiency Training and Education are foundational to most professional endeavors.
  • Good coaching can make it possible for pilots to fly at high levels of proficiency but regular training and practice are necessary to keep skill levels high.

In addition to inviting all pilots in the area, we encourage all CFIs to attend and recommend this event to their students.  This event will earn credits for both Basic and Advanced WINGS phases.
