Title:
Understanding Weather Products - Part 1
Topic:
Learn the new AviationWeather.Gov Graphical Forecast for Aviation tool which has replaced the former Area Forecast.
Date and Time:
Saturday, January 25, 2020, starting at 10:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Brig Williams - CFI, FAAST Rep
Brief Description:

How pilots receive weather briefings is changing faster than Northwest weather. Part 1 of Understanding Weather Products will focus on AviationWeather.Gov with special emphasis on how to use the new GFA tool. As GA moves more to self briefings, it is imperative for pilots to understand modern weather products to be safe and legal in the air.

This is a two hour hands on seminar. Please bring a connected device (iPad, laptop, Smart Phone) to access the website.

Part 2, in February, will focus on weather products available through most EFBs (FlyQ / ForeFlight)
