Title:
Ground School Refresher - Aeromedical Factors
Topic:
Come to this ground school refresher to review aeromedical factors
Date and Time:
Saturday, August 31, 2019, starting at 12:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Bryce Pfeiffer
Brief Description:

Human body dynamics are complicated on the ground, and really interesting when you take them up thousands of feet in elevation.  The reduction in ambient air pressure causes human bodies to do some interesting things.

Join CFI Bryce Pfeiffer as he reviews important Aeromedical Factors such as the four types of hypoxia, the impact of medicines and alcohol on the human body, and how the human eye and mind can be fooled by various spatial and visual illusions.  He will also go over some common over-the-counter medications that most pilots don’t think inhibit their ability to fly but may actually be dangerous.

Come to this seminar in the ground school refresher series to review the impact of flight on the human body and become a safer pilot.

Bryce was raised in northeastern New Mexico, where he did his initial pilot training at the base of the Rocky Mountains.  He then finished up his training in Northern California.  Bryce grew up working on cars, camping, and dreaming about being a bird. He got his passion for flying from his grandfather who flew an E2 in the US Navy.
