Safety issues surrounding GA flying around Special Use Airspace and new CFA west of R-2501.

Brief Description:

Briefing will discuss current airspace proposal in the 29 Palms area (R-2501), the different types of SUA’s, establishment of a Control Fire Area west of R-2501,  the history of mid-airs and the military. We'll address future outreach efforts the Marine Corps will do to insure the public is kept aware of the aviation mission in the area as well as the latest update on the SUA proposal. This class will identify safety issues facing military and General Aviation pilots within the Yuma El Centro area.

Establishment of a CFA west of R-2501. It will also identify the steps the Marine Corps has taken and the way forward to secure the required SUA to meet the Marine Corps training mission.
