Andy Miller has had the aviation bug for most of his life, with the initial infection possibly caused by a great uncle who flew P-40s with the Flying Tigers in WWII. He has a commercial license with an instrument rating, and flies 20 to 30 hours a month for both business and pleasure in his pristine 1973 Cessna Skylane, N999DG.
His “real” job is helping small rural hospitals develop their technology, so the airplane is a great value for getting to client sites. He has twin 19 year old children, so the airplane spends a fair amount of time hauling college students too. Andy is a long time member of both AOPA and EAA, and regularly flies Young Eagle and Angel Flight missions. He is the AOPA Airport Support Network Volunteer for his home airport, Appleton, Wisconsin (KATW).
A member of the National Speakers Association Wisconsin chapter, Andy has extensive experience speaking in the health care technology world, and last year he joined the AOPA Air Safety Foundation as one of its Safety Seminar presenters. He has presented the ASF safety seminars “Emergencies,” “Do the Right Thing,” “Say the Right Thing” and the current “Regulations - What Every Pilot Should Know” to pilot groups across the country.
Wings and/or AMT credit is available for attending this seminar. If you are planning to attend, please pre-register at www.faasafety.gov. Pre-registering for the seminars helps us to correctly apply the Wings/AMT credit to your account. The WINGS/AMT credit sheet is available at the Safety Center Forums. Simply fill out the form (please write legibly), specify the event number that you attended, and deposit in the containers on stage.
For more information on the WINGS and/or AMT programs, go to http://www.faasafety.gov/, or ask a FAASTeam Representative.
