Come join five great guest speakers presenting topics every pilot must learn more about.  Safety begins with everyone, it's a culture we all need to promote and remain proficient with.

What better opportunity to become more knowledgeable with current technology and regulations.  Each speaker has many years of experience and provided our communities an excellent service to help promote aviation safety.  Don't miss out, see you there.

This "all-day" refresher will cover the following topics:

  • 0900 - 0945   Introduction
  • 0945 - 1030   Use Of The Electronic Flight Bag, by Marty Larson
  • 1030 - 1115   What About The Basic Medical For Pilots, by Dr. Lee Trotter
  • 1115 - 1200   ADS-B Regulations & Options, by John Glasford
  • 1200 - 1330   * On-Site Burger Burn, provided by the SDPA
  • 1330 - 1415   Pilot Maintenance Responsibilities, by John Barney
  • 1415 - 1500   Mountain Flying In The Black Hills, by Jerry Densmore
  • 1500 - 1545   Open Forum Discussions

Lunch is offered with a free-will donation

This Refresher Program is intended to provide updated information on relevant topics and will consist of a relaxed atmosphere that will encourage interaction between speakers and attendees.

Your attendance at this "all-day" event may be used to meet the ground knowledge requirement for a flight review in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 61.56.

In addition, attending this "all-day" event will earn you all three levels in the WINGS Pilot Proficiency Award Program.

Directions to Venue:

This event will take place at the Rapid City Regional Airport Fire Station #8 Conference Room.  Once you turn off Highway 44 toward the airport, keep driving straight ahead and continue past the traffic light up the hill toward the general aviation hangars.  The Fire Station #8 will be to your right and parking is available in front of the building at no expense.  If flying into the airport, aircraft tie-downs and fuel services are available.
