Brief Description:

Runway Incursions are trending upward in Wisconsin over the past two years.Jurg Grossenbacher, FAASTeam Program Manager from the Milwaukee FSDO, will discuss the statistics for the recent runup in the runway incursions.

  • We will discuss causal factors that contribute to the increase.
  • We will discuss the Standard Operations the every pilot needs to adhere to to mitigate the chances of an incursion.
  • We will discuss the common distractions during a flight lesson, flying for pleasure or business.
  • We will look at several of the Pilot Deviations in detail to show how they could have been avoided.
  • Wings Credit available.

Additionally; we will have John VanDeVoort of Heartland Aviation talk about the importance of pilot proficicieny through the WINGS General Aviation training program.
