Title:
Single Pilot Night IFR Decision Making
Topic:
This Seminar will Address a Hypothetical Night Flight Flown in IFR Conditions by A Newly Minted Instrument Pilot.
Date and Time:
Thursday, April 18, 2019, starting at 18:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
George Wolfe
Brief Description:

In this scenario the pilot launches, knowing full well that there is ice in the forecast.  The pilot then encounters carburetor icing.  There are many problems and consequences that begin to form the accident chain, not the least of which is "get-there-itis."

Goldsboro Wayne Aviation Association provides organized "hangar flying" focused on building instrument flying, and general knowledge and skills.  The organization network promotes a safety culture through continued education and believes that safety and proficiency are developed through education and experience.  Monthly Meetings offer an opportunity to share in-flight experiences and valuable safety tips. Through the FAA Safety Program, informative WINGS presentations are offered by aviation professionals.  You do not have to be a rated instrument pilot to attend.  Membership is encouraged.  Click the link below and register TODAY!
