Brief Description:

Bob Benzon served as Investigator in charge of US Airways Flight 1549 "Miracle on the Hudson", TWA 800 and other high-profile airplane crash investigations. His presentation will include these and other major accident cases. He will also discuss his personal reflections on an exemplary career at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

Mr. Benzon's career:

-Air Force pilot flying multiple combat missions in Vietnam

-Joined the NTSB in 1984 and was awarded the NTSB Chairman's award, the highest honor bestowed upon an NTSB investigator.

-Served as Investigator in Charge (IIC) of nearly 100 major aircraft accidents and incidents

-More then 80% of his recommendations have been adopted, helping avert countless crashes and deaths of airline passengers.
