Title:
SUN-n-FUN 2019 Forum - UAS Regulatory Updates
Topic:
UAS Regulatory Updates
Date and Time:
Wednesday, April 3, 2019, starting at 11:30 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
James Malecha, FAA
Brief Description:

The regulations that made manned aviation the safest form of transportation were built over decades of experience, gradual growth in a defined industry, and hard lessons learned. Unmanned aircraft have proliferated from military tool to common household goods in a matter of years, challenging FAA rules and regulators every day with unique safety cases to consider, and a new class of aviators to reach that now includes the general public.  Learn how the FAA is using waivers, exemptions, and special projects to create new regulations or revise existing regulations for everyone tomorrow.
