The song goes "when it's springtime in the Rockies, it's thirty below." Well, not necessarily true, but we certainly have quickly changing and often severe weather develop in the region during Spring.

Continuing the tradition of fantastic aviation weather seminars, Michael Cetinich of Jeppesen will present this three-part seminar about spring weather hazards to flight.

The first part is a review of weather hazards prevalent during the spring, including icing, turbulence, and thunderstorms.

After a short break, we will have an in-depth look at thunderstorms, exploring the environments where they form and how to forecast areas likely to experience thunderstorms.

Finally we'll have a near-real time flying scenario and look at the weather to help determine a go/no-go decision and/or alternatives.

Seating is limited, so please sign up only if you are likely to attend. If you sign up and are unable to attend, please let us know.

This is part of the bi-monthly seminar series sponsored by Independence Aviation, based at Centennial Airport.
