Brief Description:

This renewal course will be an FAA approved multi-trainer presentation.  It will consist of a full day of several presenters from different areas of aviation each presenting relevant subject matter ranging from NDT inspections to a discussions on corrosion, aging wiring, airframe issues, maint tracking and more.

This is a free course and seating is limited.

This is the 1st year in a number of years that our Long Island Aircraft Maintenance stakeholders and the Farmingdale Flight Standards District Office have teamed up to produce an interesting and informative IA Seminar. This event will offer 8 hours of approved IA  refresher training in accordance with the regulatory requirements (FAR 65.93 (a)(4), FAA policy and maintenance training that directly relates to maintenance, inspection, repair or alteration of aircraft products, systems, components and/or accessories).  This training is also eligible for the FAA AMT Awards Program. Please see the "Additional Event Information"  below for details and how to register for this event TODAY

NOTE:   While this seminar is structured for Mechanics with Inspection Authorization (IA's), it is open to any interested mechanic.

REMINDER:  The "formal" IA renewal year is accomplished on the odd number years.  However, you must meet the requirements for IA renewal for each year under Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 65.93.  This training is valid for proof of compliance for the period April 2018 through March 2019. This training is also eligible for the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) Awards Program.  Are you participating?  For details, go to the FAASafety.gov website and visit the "Maintenance Hangar" for all the details.
