Title:
March 2019 GAJSC March Topic of the Month - Pilot Proficiency Training
Topic:
Preventing Loss of Control through Proficiency Training
Date and Time:
Saturday, March 9, 2019, starting at 08:30 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Lanny Cline, FPM; Gary Burleson, FAASTeam Representative
Brief Description:

Loss of Control is the primary causal factor in accidents.  Proficiency training is essential and we'll review the benefits of proficiency training and how to get the most from your  training.  We'll review stalls, slow flight, ground reference maneuvers, short and soft field takeoffs, power off landings, and instrument flying.  Your participation is essential!

Participate in the WINGS Pilot Proficiency Program - It’s the right thing to do for safety.

Key benefits include:

  1. It makes one a more competent and confident pilot.
  2. It’s easy to get involved and track your progress.
  3. It satisfies the flight review requirements for pilots.
  4. It is a lifelong program with no limit on the number of Phases available at each of three levels.
  5. Pilots can work on all three levels simultaneously.

Many industry training providers and service organizations have activities and syllabi that are pre-approved for WINGS credit.
