Title:
Thinking Small to Avoid Big Mistakes
Topic:
How to Prevent Making Small Localized Errors that can Result in Big Mistakes in an Airplane.
Date and Time:
Thursday, February 7, 2019, starting at 19:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Rod Machado
Brief Description:

See instructions below for new security procedures for all attendees.

Have you ever walked into a room and forgot why you were there (known as an Activation Error)? Perhaps you strolled onto the dance floor thinking you are a competent and skilled dancer only to have people run up and look for your medic alert bracelet (known as the Illusion of Competence). And what about that time you peeked into the kitchen pantry and failed to see a candy bar that sat directly in front of you (known as the Prevalence Error)? These are all small, localized errors that reflect the subtleties of the human condition and they can be devastating if they occur in an airplane. In this program, Rod Machado will help you think about these small, localized errors to help you avoid making big mistakes in an airplane.

There will be time for Q&A after the presentation.
