Title:
Loss of Control in the Airport Environment
Topic:
Mitigation of LOC accident causal factors while operating in the airport environment.
Speaker(s):
Sam Heiter, FAASTeam Program Manager
Brief Description:
Loss of Control events, especially during operations in the airport environment, are often fatal. There is minimal altitude, airspeed and time to effect a safe recovery. Unexpected events, engine failures, distractions and unstable approaches can contribute to a Loss of Control event. This seminar will look at ways to mitigate these causal factors and improve our chances of a safe flight.
