Do you know how long it takes, on average, for help to get to a downed airplane? It's probably longer than you think! Will a flight plan, flight following, cell phone, ELT and portable transceiver get you the help you need in time to save your life? Maybe not. We will learn the limitations of all of the above while talking about actual crashes.

Do you know the important event that will be occurring on February 1, 2009 and what single piece of equipment can get help on its way to you in minutes instead of days?

In this lecture you will not only learn how to get help to your location quicker but how to stay alive until it arrives. You will learn about the special needs of an aviation survival kit and why it is harder to be prepared for an emergency in an airplane than any other mode of travel. you will learn both what equipment works and what does not.

Rob Hunter will share his experiences as a Search and Rescue paramedic looking for downed airplanes and as a pilot involved in a wilderness airplane crash. You will learn what he found to be the most important survival equipment.

One of the attendees of this talk will win a Prepared Pilot Pocket Survival Pack!
