Brief Description:

This seminar will examine what happens from the time you land off airport until rescuers find you. We will discuss what affects response times, ELT technologies and malfunctions, terrain considerations for off airport landings, and other relevant topics that affect both the probability that you will be found as well as how quickly. Then we will discuss how you can prepare before you fly for the possibility of having to survive until you are found. This seminar will include a simulated off-airport landing experience.
