Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):
The GAJSC believes that the number of general aviation fatalities could be decreased if pilots of powered aircraft were better informed about determining the best glide speed for their aircraft. Understanding glide speed increases the chances that a pilot could safely maneuver his airplane in the event of a forced landing, whether on a runway or for an off field landing.
