Brief Description:
All FAASTeam Representatives are required to maintain currency in that role, in part through annual recurrent training. Training topics are derived from FAA Order 8900.1, Volume 15 and the FAASTeam Representative Manual. FAASTeam Program Managers Tony Alfaya and Bob Jex will lead a review of items that Rep's need to know, and will facilitate discussions and feedback on ways to enhance your effectiveness as Rep's!
The FPM's hold several Rep Annual Training sessions throughout the year, plus Initial Rep Training at least once. Our final Annual Training session is planned for 6 Dec (DAB); dates and venues subject to change. Attendance at any of these sessions will satisfy Annual Refresher Training requirements.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:The FAA SAFETY CENTER/Orlando Field Office is located on the southwest of Lakeland Linder airport. From Interstate 4, take County Line Road (Exit 25) south approximately 3.6 miles to Medulla RD / Old Medulla Rd. Turn left on Medulla Rd/Old Medulla Road, and proceed approximately 1.6 miles to the Central Florida Aerospace Academy Campus entrance. Proceed straight ahead on James C. Ray Drive and turn left onto Sun ‘n Fun Road just before the closed airport gate. Continue on SUN ‘n FUN road and make a left on Laird Road, the (back of) FAA Aviation Safety Center is immediately on your right, park on the west side of the building – not on the grass. From Highway 60, take County Line Road north approximately 3.8 miles to Medulla RD / Old Medulla Rd. Turn right on Medulla Rd/Old Medulla Road, and proceed approximately 1.6 miles to the Central Florida Aerospace Academy Campus entrance. Then follow the directions above beginning with James C. Ray Drive. From Lakeland take Pipkin Road west to Medulla Road, turn right and proceed about ½ mile to the Central Florida Aerospace Academy Campus entrance on the right.....then follow the directions above beginning with James C. Ray Drive.
