No one wants to think about an aviation accident ... especially pilots! However some forethought and pre- planning may save the lives of you and your passengers if something goes wrong and forces you down in mountainous / hostile terrian. CHP Helo Pilot Shawn Bainbridge will educate attendees on:
- What kind of personal survival kit everyone should carry?
- What are the best ways to get rescuers to find you?
- What initial first aid, and survival steps should you take?
- When an aviation asset does find you what should you expect from the helo?
- 1 hour lecture on rescue, survival, first aid, and signalling; and then a tour of the CHP Helo; and live demo of the helo rescue hoist, how to put on the rescure harness etc.
