Directions to Venue:

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The FAA Aviation Safety Center/Orlando Field Office is located on the SUN 'n FUN Fly-In campus. From Interstate 4, take County Line Road (Exit 25) south approximately 3.6 miles to Medulla RD / Old Medulla Rd. Turn left on Medulla Rd/Old Medulla Road, and proceed approximately 1.6 miles to the SUN ‘n FUN Campus entrance. Proceed straight ahead on Doolittle Road and turn left onto Sun ‘n' Fun Road just before the closed airport gate. Continue on SUN ‘n FUN road and make a left on Laird Road, the FAA Aviation Safety Center is on your right, park on the West side of the building – not on the grass. From Highway 60, take County Line Road north approximately 3.8 miles to Medulla RD / Old Medulla Rd. Turn right on Medulla Rd/Old Medulla Road, and proceed approximately 1.6 miles to the SUN ‘n FUN Campus entrance. Then follow the directions above. From Lakeland take Pipkin Road west to Medulla Road, turn right and proceed about ½ mile to the SUN ‘n FUN Campus entrance on the right.. Then follow the directions above.

FLYING IN: The Safety Center/Orlando Field Office is located at Lakeland Linder International Airport (KLAL). After landing request taxi to SUN 'n FUN. Park in front of FAA Safety Center Building on the grass. After the event staff will be available to open SUN ‘n FUN Campus gate for exiting onto airport.

On-line "pre-registration" is required at www.faasafety.gov. FAA registration sign-in starting at 7:30 am.  Seminar starts at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm. Plan on arriving between 7:30 am and 8:00 am.

This annual aircraft maintenance training is open to ALL aircraft technicians at no cost.  Completion certificates will be e-mailed after the seminar.  If you are unable to receive an e-mailed certificate and need a printed certificate, please e-mail your request to FAASTeam Program Manager, Tony Alfaya at tony.alfaya@faa.gov

Please Note: The 12-month IA period begins on April 1 and ends on March 31 of each year. The IA renewal year is accomplished on the odd number years. Year "2018" is NOT a signature year for the IA renewal!

This training is eligible for (8 hrs) credit in the Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) Awards Program. Visit http://www.faasafety.gov/ follow the links to the "Maintenance Hangar" for details on enrolling in this important program. You Must be enrolled prior to receiving credit.
