Title:
Reminder! - Call Sign FLIGHT CHECK - Who Are Those Guys?
Topic:
Overview of the FAA's Flight Inspection Services mission and operation.
Date and Time:
Friday, March 2, 2018, starting at 13:00 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Glen Freeman - FAA Flight Inspection Pilot
Brief Description:

The FAA's Flight Inspection Services (FIS) ensures the integrity of instrument approaches and airway procedures that constitute our National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure and the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) international commitments. This is accomplished through the airborne inspection of all space and ground-based instrument flight procedures and the validation of electronic signals in space transmitted from ground navigation systems.

You've probably heard the call sign "Flight Check" on the frequency, or have seen a blue and white FAA King Air make a low pass down an airport runway.  Who are those guys and what are they doing?  Glen Freeman, an FAA Flight Inspection pilot will discuss the purpose of the FAA Flight Inspection Services program.
