FAASTeam Evening Safety Seminar
Topic:
Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) & Uncontrolled Airport Operations
Date and Time:
Tuesday, December 5, 2017, starting at 19:00 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Steven R. Hoogerhyde, FAASTeam Program Manager
Brief Description:

The General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC) selects a Topic Of The Month (TOM) based on analysis of accident and incident data that shows a risk factor.  This December TOM is titled "Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC)".

In addition, we will be discussing Uncontrolled Airport Operations.  There are many things to keep in mind when flying into an uncontrolled airport environment where there is no operating control tower.  Runway conditions, traffic pattern procedures, loss of radio, NOTAMS, and surface operations are just a few things we will be discussing.

Come join us as we share experiences and learn from past mistakes.
