Operations at non-towered airports can be a high-risk mixing bowl of jets, turbo-props, single engine trainers, and light sport aircraft. Communications are optional. Learn what you can do to improve your safety and others in the pattern with you. Volunteer to participate in a traffic pattern scenario skit that gets everyone in the room involved. You may very well see yourself in many of the traffic conflicts that occur in the skit. This presentation has been performed in numerous locations with much success. 10:30 Flight in the Danger Zone, presented by Bob Sutherlin, FAA Safety Repesentative. Attend this safety seminar and participate in a fun-filled skit. Six pilots will be asked to participate in a scripted airport traffic pattern scenario in which multiple airplanes vie for position in the traffic pattern. Who will have the right of way? Who will land first? Who will be forced to make a go-around? Guaranteed to be fun and educational.
