Title:
Good News in Aviation Safety
Topic:
Come join the conversation on the future of GA flight operations!
Date and Time:
Wednesday, October 11, 2017, starting at 19:30 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Kostas Speridakos (CFI, AGI)
Brief Description:

Great work is coming to light - angle of attack indicators, potential streamlining of certification standards in Part 23, ADS-B implementation, electric propulsion, and more - how can we as the general aviation community promote and benefit from these advancements?  How can we guard against complacency that may result from their use?

Get up to speed on these trends with Kostas Speridakos, a CFI and aerospace engineer who teaches at West Valley Flying Club at PAO and SQL.  Kostas' experience outside of flying includes designing FAA flight tests and co-authoring safety cases for ADS-B implementation in air traffic control systems, conducting operational analysis of new Air Traffic Management (ATM) initiatives for private and public entities, and building practical bridges to connect young people with their dream careers in aviation.
