Title:
Theres a Stranger on the Ramp
Topic:
The ins and outs of the dreaded FAA ramp check.
Date and Time:
Saturday, October 21, 2017, starting at 09:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Kevin Morris, ATP, Commercial, CFI, FAASTeam Manager
Brief Description:

It's a beautiful day for flying. You just finished cleaning and washing the airplane and your friends are ready to join you for the "$100" hamburger. As you pull the aircraft out of the hangar, you notice an unfamiliar face walking towards you. He's got some sort of ID on him, but you can't make it out quite yet. As he approaches, you can see the FAA logo. He's smiling...your stomach goes into a knot. It's an FAA ramp check.

FAA Aviation Safety Inspector Kevin Morris will be on hand to de-mystify this process. What is the FAA looking for? Why did they choose you? Can they really take away your license? Do you have to let them onboard the aircraft? How long is this going to take?
