Title:
IFR Approach Plate Seminar
Topic:
A Methodical Analysis
Date and Time:
Wednesday, October 18, 2017, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Brian Eliot
Brief Description:

Instrument approach plates pack an extraordinary amount of information into a very small space. Every instrument approach chart is packed with information that you need to know to fly the approach safely.  Our recurring Approach Plate Seminars take an intensive look at a variety of  approach procedures. No two sessions are alike and over the year we will try to cover all the varying nuances of instrument approaches.

Although tailored for instrument pilots and students, VFR pilots will find approaches helpful in safely locating an unfamiliar airport especially at night.

Brian Eliot is San Carlos Flight Center’s resident expert and chief instrument instructor for IFR training and all types of avionics especially Garmin. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Brian has been flying since 1995 and received all his training in the Bay Area. He previously worked as a broadcast engineer, a software developer, and taught computer science at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He regularly presents at San Carlos Flight Center safety seminars and has a reputation for making complex concepts easy to learn and understand, and commands a wealth of knowledge.

This event qualifies for FAA Wings credit.
