Mr. Finch flew fighters in the Royal Canadian Air Force Air Defense Command, Then flew all the Boeings including the 747 , the DC-6 & 7 and Electra for American Airlines . After moving to San Diego, he earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering from San Diego State, conducting a research project there comparing 16 different wing tips, wrote a paper, developed and patented a wing tip called the Finch tip.
As a lifetime EAA member he formed the San Diego Flight Museum in 1980 and brought several aircraft to flight status including a Mig-21 which was flown to local airshows. Reg is interested in electric propulsion as it is ideal for EAA type of flying.
