Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

The attainment of an IA, and the performance of the duties of that certificate, greatly enhance the privileges and responsibilities of the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT). The IA permits the airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic to perform a greater variety of maintenance functions and alterations than any other single maintenance entity.

The determination of airworthiness during an inspection is a serious responsibility, and for many general aviation aircraft the annual inspection could be the only in-depth inspection it receives throughout the year.

The Farmingdale FSDO and FAA Safety Team are offering this training event to provide local IA and AMT with the training and knowledge to increase the level of safety in aviation.

Planned Topics include; Human Factors & Maintenance Error Recognition, New Technologies in Maintenance and More.
