Brief Description:

This briefing will highlight some of the important aspects you will learn in a quality mountain flying course. It is not a complete course, but should be a reminder to get good training before you fly in the mountains. This course discusses the effect that topography has on wind flow and turbulence as well as the effects of density altitude on aircraft performance.  Also techniques and guidelines to follow while flying in mountainous terrain.

Alt route: CA 41 to Oakhurst. Turn left on CA 49 to Mariposa/Yosemite Airport.
