Spatial disorientation for aviators, including the physiological aspects, human factors, as well as several accident case studies will be discussed.
The presenter, Allison Diaz, is an aviation accident analyst with the National Transportation Safety Board, Office of Aviation Safety. Prior to her current position, she was an air safety investigator in the NTSB's Eastern and Western Pacific regional offices, serving as investigator-in-charge of general aviation accident investigations. Allison is a certificated flight instructor and holds a master of aeronautical science degree with a concentration in human factors.
