Title:
Personal Minimums and Weather Cameras / Single-Pilot Resource Management
Topic:
Establishing Personal Minimums, Checking Weather Cameras, and Single Pilot Resource Management.
Date and Time:
Saturday, April 1, 2017, starting at 10:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Tim McSwain
Brief Description:

By establishing personal minumums, pilots can take a big step in managing risk.

NTSB accident data suggests that pilot capability is not simply a matter of certification level and experience, but rather a wide variety of conditions and circumstances can influence pilot performance from day to day. That variability in performance supports the argument that pilots should develop personal minimums for their flying and that those minimums should be reviewed and adjusted with respect to existing conditions and circumstances.

Even though traditional CRM focused on multi-crewed environments, several elements (such as communications, teamwork, decision making, and situational awareness) can be applied to single-pilot operations.
