Only 100 aircraft will be allowed to land on the lake bed. The aircraft will be selected from a lottery drawing on Sept 10 and pilots will be notified if they have won. Those who did not win the lottery can still drive-in to the event, but must still register on the Flight Test Nation website, http://www.flighttestnation.com/  Warbirds and CAP will be treated on an individual basis, see website for details. You will be greeted with a pancake breakfast, briefings on the base mission and history, the R-2508 airspace and how to safely transit through the airspace, women in flight test history, plus see military static displays.

ONLY "REGISTERED" aircraft will be allowed to land.

NOTE: As a reminder; Pilot Airspace Deviations continue to be a major risk in the national airspace system. To reduce the chance that you might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encouraged to take an on-line learning center course on http://www.faasafety.gov/.  You can also search the learning library for associated guidance on airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent airmen have superior situational awareness, and have a plan to keep it that way.

Thanks!  A message from your local FAASTeam.
